Week in Review: Sept. 19-23, 2011

No pics this week, and I'm late getting this up. It's here simply as a marker that we did complete school this past week.

Math BamBam finished up his first foray into double digit addition. MUS takes a short break from it by practicing counting by twos. Next up: double addition with carrying. PrimPress has been working on counting and writing to 100. Math Mammoth started in on subtraction.

Language Arts The children completed Week 6 of spelling, Writing With Ease, and reading. BamBam finished the first unit in his Rod & Staff grammar book.

Other Too much to remember... the highlights: a new fire pit thanks to Grandma G (complete with 'smores!), a nature excursion to the Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary, and a last minute weekend trip to Table Rock Lake. I'm still on lake time and not wanting to get back to the rush and busyness of the city. Lots of gorgeous hiking trails, the kids swimming in the lake (brrr!), swinging in hammocks, and the laid-back atmosphere - it's so hard to leave it behind.
