Made a Pin!

I saw this over at Pinterest. I love it. It's scrappy and makes me happy. So yesterday morning I found three scraps of 1x6 and two scraps of 1x3. I lined up the 1x6 boards side by side and screwed the two 1x3s into each board to hold it all together. Then I painted it with some freebie paint I received in the mail. Next, I added a white wash. A little penciled in pattern and a dremel tool, and...

I love it so much. I have low expectations for my attempts at copying cute stuff; they never seem to turn out the way I imagine. Even so, I'm pleased with one. :)

The kids decided they needed a sign of their own. I'm hoping to make one for them today. I'll let you know how it goes.
